A letter from the owner
August 28, 2009 Dear valued client It is my pleasure to have been in business up until this time. It will be 5 years December 18, 2009. Who knew this was all possible? Who knew that God would actually make my dreams come true. I am so grateful for Him because without Him, all of this means nothing. Without Him, all of this is not possible. I am a firm believer in God and I know, without a shadow of a doubt that He is real and has guided me this far. Essentials Beauty Spa has blessed me in so many ways. I became a better teacher, a better parent, a better sistah as well as a better sister, a better daughter, a better listener, a better friend, a better student, .......................... The blessings are priceless. The greatest gift of all is I learned about love. The word love was presented to me in ways I never knew existed. I love each and every one of you, in more ways you can imagine. I love your smile, your stories, your support, your testimonies, your trials, your struggles, your growth, your expertise, your thoughts, your hand in this walk.........Again, priceless. There are some, I won't remember your name. There are some I never met, we just talked on the phone. There are some, you gave me a hard way to go ( but it was definetly a lesson; every lesson is a blessing). There are some who guided me spirtually. There are some who aren't satisfied. There are some who are over satisfied. There are some that will never be satisfied. There are some that just plain hated and just wont understand. There are some that prayed. There are some that cursed. There are so many memories............ My staff! What can I say? There were many that have come and have gone. They will forever remain in my prayers: Good, bad, evil or ugly; I love you just the same and cherish the season and the reason for our meeting. I thank my children: My son, my inspiration, who will be 18 in October. WOW!! ( crying now as I type) and my daughter, whose birthday is today. She is my joy. They have stuck by me through thick and thin; no matter what. There were times I came home with an attitude from a stressful day at work and I took it out on them. They acted responsibly at home when I was at the salon for more hours than you could imagine. (I am really boo hoo-ing now) They listened to the drama.Oh boy......... the drama; at least at the time I made it drama because I never should have put up with it.They understood when I had my priorities out of order and missed important functions just to make that dollar to pay the bills. Well maybe they didnt understand it then, but they do now. Our relationship is so much stronger. Our faith is so much stronger. We stand firm as a family as well as individuals. My children have come to work with me. My daughter has assisted as a shampoo tech and receptionist. The both of them have cleaned, remodeled, painted.................you name it. They experienced what it is that their momma "did" every day. I believe they have great respect for me as they watched and still is watching me grow and mature and build a business from pennies and I am happy to say that at least I set one good example for them. My mom is not one for many words, or at least the ones I wanted to hear but her support is phenomenal. Thank you! You have no idea, how appreciative I am for all of you, yes even you. I look forward to the next 5 years, when I could sit back and really wooo-sah and reflect on every single person who have touched my life. The electricians, the plumbers, the landlord, the tenants, the stylists, the telemarketers, the bill collectors, the marketing teams,the friends, the enemies, the bank tellers, the painters, the handy men..........................the list is endless.
